Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

It was an incredible privilege to represent San Antonio Regional Hospital as the presenting sponsor for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event in my hometown of Chino. At San Antonio, our mission goes beyond treating cancer; we are dedicated to fostering hope, healing, and progress. Every day, our exceptional cancer care team works tirelessly to advance treatments and provide compassionate support to patients and their families. We are deeply committed to ensuring that no one faces this battle alone. From support groups to free transportation services, these initiatives are made possible by the power of community—lifting up those in the fight, celebrating survivors, and honoring the memories of loved ones lost. Despite the early morning start, the energy and enthusiasm from everyone who gathered to support this incredible cause were truly inspiring.

My father is a two-time cancer survivor - 3rd stage lung cancer and early stage prostate. I’ve seen the fight, the financial burdens, the feeling of hopelessness, but I also saw resilience, courage, and faith. We are celebrating 20 years of my dad being lung cancer free this year. I thank God everyday for the miracle of watching that tumor miraculously disappear. I literally mean, from one image showing the tumor to his next image showing nothing. I’ll never forget asking the Oncologist how this was possible, and he just pointed straight up.

Shout out to the population health team who always knows how to jazz up our outreach!

Always get screened early and make your visit to a primary care physician.
